It is my honor that my horse painting has been adopted by MANZA to be its magazine cover page December /January 2014 Edition.
This horse painting illustrates:
‘So You Think’, one of the best horses to ever race in Australia won the Underwood Stakes in impressive fashion at Caufield on 18th Sept 2010. The jockey: was S. Arnold and the horse owner were Dato’ Tan Chin Nam and Tunku Ahmad Yahaya of Malaysia. The trainer was Bart Cummings, the best horse trainer in Australian horse racing history.

It is my honor that my horse painting (So You Think, Best horse of Dato’ Tan Chin Nam) has been adopted by MANZA to be its magazine cover page December /January 2014 Edition.

On 5 November last year, I was invited by the president of MANZA Mary Thornton to attend the MANZA’s Melbourne Cup 2013. In this memorable occasion, I presented the mockup MANZA Magazine cover page to its president. Also present was His Excellency Mr. Miles Kupa, Australian High Commissioner to Malaysia. I was thankful for His Excellency Mr. Miles Kupa’s compliment on my horse painting.

Dato’ Tan Chin Nam is a highly successful Malaysian businessman and a major owner of Australian thoroughbred race horses. He has had such a prolific influence on the Australian horse racing scene that Melbourne’s Moonee Valley Racecourse named a race in his honor called the Dato’ Tan Chin Nam Stakes.

In fact, Dato’ Tan Chin Nam is one of the world’s top horse owners I admire and respect the most. I wish I can meet him personally one day to talk about his best horses. I think I will learn a lot of things from him, especially his valuable narration on his legendary horses which won 4 times of Melbourne Cups: Think Big (Two time-Cup winner), Saintly and Viewed.
