In 1997,the 1st art exhibition by the teachers and students of the James Phua Art Centre was held at the National Art Gallery with great success:
In the 90’s, I dedicated myself to children’s art education. I believe that art plays an important role in children’s creativity.
Besides dedicating myself to art education, I also committed myself to charity art shows:
I am thankful for those who supported me and made me became more and more popular in the field of art throughout the years.
In 2001, James Phua Art Centre moved into its newly- bought office space located at Damansara Intan. The art centre had come to its peak where it attracted students all over the world.
In 2002, the 2nd art exhibition by the teachers and students of the James Phua Art Centre was held and launched by the Youth and Sports Deputy Minister, Datuk Ong Tee Keat at KLCC Isetan Art Gallery:
